Purchased by Drs. Emma and Ryan Dodge in 2021, Dodge Dental Studio was originally owned by Dr. Paul Scheunemann.
The practice has a long history in the Harford community, having been opened in 1985 and serving as a dental home for many years. Dr. Emma first visited the practice as a 3 year old, and her experiences with Dr. Scheunemann inspired her to become a dentist. As an inspiration to her and later a mentor, Drs. Emma and Ryan are honored to work with the amazing team Dr. Scheunemann has created and look forward to continuing his tradition of excellent care.
A year and a half after our office officially became Dodge Dental Studio, Drs. Emma and Ryan Dodge acquired Dr. Doubleday’s patient base, welcoming many smiles through our door, where we are able to ensure his patients receive the same excellent standard of care that Dr. Doubleday provided.

Dr. Emma Dodge’s dentistry journey began by completing a Bachelors of Science and shortly after her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Marquette University. Dr. Emma has been able to take her expertise in dentistry into the Navy where she was a United States Navy Dental Officer. Wanting to return to her roots in the Hartford community, she took over for her childhood dentist, Dr. Scheunemann in 2021 with her husband, Dr. Ryan, to provide a genuinely focused and compassionate dental experience to her neighbors.
Dr. Emma’s passion lies in getting to know patients throughout their lives, understanding their dreams and goals all while getting to be part of their health journey. She takes the time to know what motivates each patient and helps with understanding the why behind their dental care.
In her personal time, she is an avid reader and stays active outdoors by running, hiking, biking, and travelling. She plays piano at church and loves spending time with her husband and daughter Lucille, enjoying baking, cooking, and being part of their community together.
Ryan C. Dodge, DDS

Having received a Bachelors of Science and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University, Dr. Ryan Dodge brings a wealth of dental education and experience to our practice. Working as an Associate Dentist in Virginia while Dr. Emma was on Active Duty, Dr. Ryan gathered knowledge on how to best serve his patients. Having founded Dodge Dental Studio in 2021 with his wife, Dr. Emma, Dr. Ryan is able to serve his community and educate his patients to achieve dental health.
Dr. Ryan feels deeply rewarded when he is able to restore his patient’s health and see their comfort and confidence grow in every visit. His passion lies in building genuine relationships with his patients and being able to explain the perio-systemic connection to better develop tailored treatment plans and help people love their smiles.
In his personal time, Dr. Ryan loves spending time with his daughter, Lucille, and his wife. His passion is singing and playing trumpet at church. He spends plenty of time outdoors by hiking, running, biking, and kayaking. Cooking, baking, and finding new roasts of coffee beans to try are hobbies he enjoys and shares with his family.

Kayla |Dental Assistant
Kayla is a Dental Assistant here at Dodge Dental Studio, and a fun fact about her family is that her great grandmother was on the sinking ship called the Titanic. When her own ship isn’t sinking, she loves to spend time with her family and longboarding, always looking forward to exploring new places.
Nadine |Hygienist
Having grown up watching ‘The Brady Bunch,’ Nadine can relate to being the youngest of 6 kids with curls. She loves playing card games with her family and friends and loves talking about travels. Feel free to share a good book with Nadine or your most recent adventure to know where her next destination will be.
Jackie |Patient Care Coordinator
Jackie is our Patient Care Coordinator here at Dodge Dental Studio. Her journey in dental care started in high school, having participated in the Secretarial Co-Op program and being placed in a dental office. Even with a fear of going to the dentist, she was able to make a career in dental care. Outside of the office, she looks forward to spending time with her family at their farm on Pike Lake.
Holly |Hygienist
Passionate about health education, Holly constantly is learning new ways to help patients live their healthiest lives. Outside of creating healthy smiles at the office, she loves spending time outdoors by hiking, golfing, and working on her yard while looking forward to trips in the beautiful landscapes in our National Parks.
Andrea |Hygienist
As an avid hiker, Andrea has summited Long’s Peak (14,259 feet in elevation!) and loves vacationing with her family in her favorite spot, Colorado. She enjoys gardening and taking care of her plants, with the Venus Fly Trap being her favorite, and has a love of learning new things, especially in anatomy and listening to new audiobooks and podcasts.
Hannah |Patient Care Coordinator
As our Patient Care Coordinator, Hannah’s passion lies in making sure every patient feels cared for and supported. Coffee is her favorite way to start a day, and she loves spending time outdoors with her family. She is a proud mom of three and enjoys hiking, fishing, and enjoying the fresh air.
Julie |Dental Assistant
Julie is one of our proud Dental Assistants at Dodge Dental Studio. When she’s not helping our patients with their smiles, you can find her line dancing with her family and friends and working on her family farm (if you haven’t checked out the Holy Hill Art Farm, make sure you do!). She loves enjoying those long summer nights, curled up by a bonfire.
BoDean |Dental Assistant
Taking pride in creating a comfortable patient experience, BoDean is a Dental Assistant here at Dodge Dental Studio and is working toward becoming a Dental Hygienist. BoDean stays active outside of the office by playing tennis and golf and loves to spend time with family and watching them race motocross.
Alysha |Dental Assistant
Alysha is a Dental Assistant at Dodge Dental Studio, and has a goal of becoming an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. She takes immense pride every time a nervous patient leaves feeling comfortable and cared for. She stays fit at the gym, plays pickleball, and loves cooking and baking.
Roxanne |Office Manager
As our Office Manager at Dodge Dental Studio, Roxanne keeps our office organized and flowing smoothly. She enjoys working with our amazing dental family and loves spending time outside of the office with her family and friends. As a traveler, she enjoys visiting new places (Mexico and South Africa are favorites) and hearing all about your dream destinations.
Jenny |Financial Coordinator
An avid learner, our Financial Coordinator, Jenny, is here to serve our patients with any questions you may have about your insurance. She is always on a quest to grow her knowledge so that she can better serve our patients. In her free time, you will find her growing her butterfly garden, cheering on her friends at the local race track, or catching an episode of The Golden Girls. P.S. Rose is her favorite.
Carrie |Hygienist
Carrie is always up for a challenge and puts her heart into everything she does, especially as our Dental Hygienist. As a mom of three boys, she has a strong love for her family and adventure. She goes all in, with the patience to go after the fish of 10,000 casts, her first one coming in at 42.5 inches. She is excited to start her new adventure in Archery.
